The Czech Republic has long standing traditions in beer production. The first brewery was opened in the 12th century and beer has been a famous Czech export ever since the 13th century. The most famous beer breweries in the country are Pizen (Pilsen) and Budejovice (Budweis).

The trip starts at the Prague Bar in the Old Town of the city center. Then, the group moves to the New Town by tram and to the first brewery. There, visitors can taste seven different types of beer- from the strong German Weizer to cherry beer.

Next, is the famous U Fleku Beer Hall & Brewery. It is only ten minute walk from the first one. There, you can savor the unique Fleks Dark Lager.

The final brewery is the old Czech pub brewery carrying its old traditional atmosphere. Moreover, it is a very popular place among local residents.

Beer tastings are organized in many venues around the city. A popular one takes place in the Prague bar in Old Town. There, visitors can try out the seven main beers produced in the Czech Republic. The brands vary from light pilsners to dark ales, fruit beer and the famous Czech brands- Pislner Urquell and Budvar. The tastings are led by a Beer Master who teaches appreciation of the beer as well as brewing tradtions and production process.
